Honey & Cinnamon Baked Apples

A warm, comforting dessert featuring the natural sweetness of premium Western Australian honey!

INGREDIENTS

  • 4 medium apples (Granny Smith, Pink Lady, or Honeycrisp work best)

  • ¼ cup South West Honey (Jarrah honey for extra health benefits!)

  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon

  • ¼ tsp nutmeg (optional)

  • ¼ cup chopped walnuts or pecans

  • ¼ cup rolled oats (optional, for a crispier texture)

  • 2 tbsp melted butter or coconut oil

  • ½ tsp vanilla extract

  • ½ cup hot water

METHOD

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).

  2. Core the apples – Use a paring knife or apple corer to remove the core, leaving the bottom intact to hold the filling.

  3. Make the filling – In a bowl, mix South West Honey, cinnamon, nutmeg, chopped nuts, oats, melted butter, and vanilla extract.

  4. Stuff the apples – Spoon the mixture into each apple, filling them generously.

  5. Bake – Place the apples in a baking dish, add hot water to the bottom of the dish (to keep them moist), and bake for 30-35 minutes until tender.

  6. Serve warm – Drizzle with extra South West Honey and enjoy with Greek yogurt, vanilla ice cream, or on their own!
